change my desktop machine


Hello all,

I would like to know how change my desktop machine. Currently I use GNOME with ubuntu but I want to install others desktop machines.

what do you mean by

as root run synaptic
sudo synaptic
then go to windowmanagers and make your pick
Then at h loginmanager you can choose

I use KDE now ^^
But I want to use a windowmanager more simple, can you advise me ?

And I want to know how many windowmanager I can use to the maximum ? And also to know if applications with KDE are the same with others windows managers.

There is no limit

most applications can be used in other windowmanagers, but is is betterto use the native applications

A last question : Can you give me a link where I can find tutorials to use konsole ?
