Unhappy Change login background

Hi,
I'm using RedHat 7.2. I use gui base login. But I'm trying to change the default background of login. I already change it from the kde control panel but a default blue color redhat screen coming. How can I change this background?

Hi
that depends on how far you want to take this
What login manager do you use? in kdm you can
do it using the KDE configurator and in gdm you can do it
from within gdm
In my mandrake 8.2 others have decided to flash my screen
in a horrible red colour when logging in as root, yak
So i found and changed all of the scrips;
in /etc/X11/Xsession edit and change xsetroot -solid "#666699"
for globals and a blue colour
in usr/bin/startkde for K desktop
in usr/bin/startgnome for you know
in etc/X11/xfce/xinitrc XFce
in usr/X11/R6/bin/startwindowmaker for WindowMaker
(hard to find the last one but with a little 'grep' from a friend
man xsetroot for extra options
and use xli (haven't tried it yet ) to display some decent
wallpapers
man xli
good luck
