Change CPU


changed processor
this athlon II x345 on this FX 6100
windows running, Ubuntu does not start - hangs

can be done without having to reinstall ubuntu?

Hi...

You didn't mention what brand of motherboard you have but if it's Gigabyte, perhaps the solution here might help.

The solution offered might work with other brands, as well. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you, the problem is solved disabling in the BIOS to support AMD C1E Support.
