CF Card reader

Hi,

I'm using redhat linux 6.2 and i have no great idea as to how to mount or use the CF cardreader with this.

could anyone tell me how to read/write the CF card using the CF cardreader on redhat linux 6.2

FYI i am more interested to know CF reader on redhat 6.2 as i cannot upgrade.

Thanks,
Nesta

Is this reader USB? USB readers should show up the same as any other USB storage device, something like /dev/sda1. If it is an IDE-based CF adapter, than that would just show up as a normal IDE drive and should work under essentially every operating system; it would appear as /dev/hdb or similar.

Although I have to say, Red Hat 6.2 is absolutely ancient software. I believe that is still running the 2.2 kernel, which I am not even sure supports USB (I know the kernel didn't get full support until 2.4). I would be surprised if you could get much of anything modern working.
