Centos kernel installation without restart
Hi
If i install a new kernel using yum update and i don't reboot and then after a few days i install again using yum update a newer kernel and then i reboot it will auto load the latest one? Thanks |

It would really suck if you did three or four updates with new kernels, then had to reboot only to find that none of them worked... My habit is to keep the original one that worked around - and allow the system to continue updating. Then if none of the current kernels work, I still have the original one that DID.
