Centos 5 Desktop Install - missing package "lrzsz-0.12.20-22.1.i386.rpm"

Hi there

Bit new with Centos. I am trying to install Centos 5 desktop version (Gnome), however I keep getting package "lrzsz-0.12.20-22.1.i386.rpm" is missing. This is on CD#3.

I had to use the option "linux pci=noacpi, nommconf" since the installer kept hanging at "ACPI: PCI Root Bridge [PCI0] (0000:00)".

Something else I'm missing?

Thanks for your help.

Try to bypass the problem and finish the install. Then you can download lrzsz-0.12.20-22.1.i386.rpm from here:

http://linux.maruhn.com/sec/lrzsz.html

Most likely you can bypass the problem by not installing minicom. If that is the case then after you finish the install you can download and install lrzsz and then install minicom.

There is quite a variation in the way that different BIOS handle acpi. In Linux the kernel's acpi module gets easily confused by the way some of the BIOS handle acpi. The kernel developers have decided to redesign and rewrite the kernel acpi module. In the meantime handling acpi is mostly trial and error.
