hi
i tried to install centOS-5.4 on my system from dvd but system displays message "no boot file name reccived".may any one could trace out problem
thanks
Sounds like a bad burn or image transfer, as btmiller suggested you should go back to where you got the image and get a MD5 checksum performed against it, if it passes fine then burn a new disc.
Sounds like it could be a corrupt DVD. Did you verify the MD5 sum of the ISO? Also, I find it helpful to burn at the slowest speed possible.
hi btmiller
i had checked md5 sum and everything was fine .i did it step by step as provided in the guide.i am not sire about burning speed i m going to try it again.
