CentOS 5.4 it wont get the packages during installation!


In my CentOS 5.4 installation i configure it as a server GUI and click the updates box and go to the configure now option and click the internet box but it just says getting packages or something like that and i never does.

"or something like that"?? Real error messages please.

Seperately try running yum update from a command line for more clarity about what's going on.

i cant run a command line i am still in the instalation. when i try to customize the software i want to get it says "an unhandled exception has occured, this is most likely a bug"

Sorry, I didn't see that bit. OK, if you hit (AFAIR) Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F4 you'll see the backend debugging windows which may well show much more information to get a hold of.

I get the bug report I just dont know what to do from ther because i try to debug and it enters the debugger, then i come back the next day and it is still in the same possition with no progress.

It says an unhandled exception has occurred. This is probably a bug. Then you can choose to save to remote, save to floppy, debug or continue. I have tried debugging and continuing and when i continue nothing happens when i debug it enters the dubugger and then does nothing.
