Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Okay so i got cedega installed, updated my nvidia card drivers, and installed games. Now...if only i could play them...
1. I installed counterstrike. Everything went perfect. When i go to play online, I launch steam and the steam window pops up. It says it needs to update so i wait. It never does anything it just sits there and then crashes. How can i get steam to update and work properly?
2. I installed starcraft and the broodwar expansion pack. I load up the game and everything seems to be working fine. I can watch the intro video and choose multiplayer or single. When i try to connect to battlenet, the graphics on the screen are off. Then it downloads the update and installs it. I click to play on battlenet and it crashes. It says something about not being able to identify the game type i am on or something. Anybody had this happen?
3. I want to play Call of Duty. I pop it in and xecute the terminal command to install. How can i switch cd's without screwing up the install?
