Cds Won"t Play On Other Devices

I'm using Red hat 9.0 and burning Cd's with gnome toaster. I'm trying to burn downloaded mp3's and they burn fine but will not play on home stereo or my car but work on my computer. I've upgraded from Mandrake 8.2 to RH 9.0. Used K3b in Mandrake and all was good. Any help on this issue?

Are you sure you burned the mp3s as a music CD, and didn't just put a bunch of mp3s on a data cd? I did this a few times, the software I was using didn't ever ask me what type of CD I wanted to make, it said it would "auto-configure" itself; well, it didn't. Make sure you tell your burning program to make an audio cd, not a data cd.

Best of luck.

If you're trying to play your cd's on an mp3 player, chances are that the system doesn't recognize rockridge extensions.Xcdroast does have joliet support, but better configure your settings carefully and then proceed.Emulating the process that nero uses for windows in xcdroast is not as simple.
