cdrom not read L-M hangs
 

I've installed LM 8.1 Things work fine in the installation which is done from 3 cd's.Once over if I want to read a cd I go to the icon on KDE mount it and put in a disk. That's the end the cd light comes on and it goes into an eternal spin the screen freezes nothing works incul the mouse and I've to rebootr. Any ideas why incidentallly is LM 8.1 supportive of iso 9960??:cry:

Linuxcool : Been there done that. Surprisingly even alt+ctrl+backspace also does NOT work to defreeze.Only reboot button works

Try putting the cdrom disk in first, then mount it.

I saw a fstab somewhere and noted that my iso was different Here are the contents

any ideas and incidentally what is comd depmod -ae for??
