cdrom mount problems

Hello All:

Please forgive the double post

(I posted this in the hardware forum about 8 hours ago, but I really need to mount my cdrom.)

I used to mount my cdrom with:

mount -t iso9660 -v /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

only now I get the following error messages:

mount: block device cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: No medium found

I did this as su. Can someone please help me here?

First of all, I won't forgive the double post cause you clearly stated in your post that its wrong, by asking for forgiveness.

Why don't we start posting in the original thread, and I've reported this one to be closed. As the rules state, we don't allow double posting.

If your not getting responses, feel free to bump your threads after about 24 hours without a response. But don't create new threads, then asking for forgiveness.

PS. No reason to reply to this thread, it will be closed shortly as we should respond to your other thread.
