Cdrom Failed to load on startup in Mandrake 10
 

I have Mandrake 10, this is my first look into lunix..

some how the screens got deleted, and i can not get to the graphic startup
So i am just going to reinstall Mandrake, (b/c father got on and made it worse-deleted a few things too)
but when i put the cd in the drive and start up i get this

Boot from Atapi Cd-rom:... Failed

I have checked to see if it was mounted and it is, and so i am stuck-any insight would be great

10 has critters(bugs). One of trhem is the problem you are having so you are not alone...
easy solution is boot from CD 2, then change to CD 1 when prompted.
