cdrecord: No such device. Cannot open '/dev/pg0'. Cannot open SCSI driver.


Hi all,

I am trying burn iso image using cdrecord command.(bootable disk)
when i run following "cdrecord" command, i get below o/p.

[root@rpm ]# cdrecord -v -pad speed=1 dev=0,0,0 image.iso
Cdrecord 1.10 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2001 J�rg Schilling
TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
scsidev: '0,0,0'
scsibus: 0 target: 0 lun: 0
cdrecord: No such device. Cannot open '/dev/pg0'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root.


and also if do cdrecord -scanbus

[root@rpm ]# cdrecord -scanbus

Plz help me how can fix this.

Have you tried the following command,
chmod u+s /usr/bin/cdrecord and then try to burn the disc.

Ya tried following command,
$chmod u+s /usr/bin/cdrecord

But still getting same error,
