CD won't play in Debian (Knoppix)
Hi everyone...I have a slight problem...When loading Data off CD's I have no problems...But when I try to play an audio CD the included programs will not even start the drive running.
I am running Knoppix Version 3.4 with the 2.4 kernel installed...
I have a Compaq Presario 1245 Laptop with
160 Megs of Ram
Toshiba CD Rom
ESS ISA Audio Card
When I run a test using the config it outputs audio just fine, but when i test the MIDI it does not play anything...
I have tied every program included with this version of Knoppix but none of them work.....When I click on the CD icon that is on my desktop it says:
Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:/mnt/cdrom does not exist.
It is weird though, I can boot off a CD so I know it is working...Humm..Any help would be appreciated...
BTW , this is a hard drive install version of Knoppix..
Thanks!!
Steve
