Question CD-ROM in GRUB boot menu?

I wanted to add CDROM to my grub boot menu. That way when I have a live disk I can select it to boot from the CD instead of the hard drive. This is so I can ave boot from CDROM disabled in my BIOS yet still have the option to boot from the CD. Would that be possible?

Thanks,
Kyle

I am not sure what distro you are using but be weary that occasionally, apt-getting or even yast updating, will write over your grub menu.lst changes.

Thanks for the heads up but I dont use apt-get or yast. Package managers can get messy if you dont pay attention as well as getting them from different sources puts things in unordered places. I'm using slackware(its listed under my name).

try adding this to menu.lst and checking it out

Code:
title Boot from CD
rootnoverify (/dev/scd0)
chainloader +1
replace scd0 with the name of your cdrom device. (/dev/cdrom might work).

I figured I would update this since I managed to find a site that has the information. This is a functional CD-ROM Boot for GRUB.
