CD Rom


My CD ROm Icon on desktop has vanished, I'm sure its a simple procedure to find or mount again but Im stumped. befor e it would reappear every time I out a cd in but now nothing? I know the CD is ok it can see it at boot. I am using RH 9, can anyone give me a suggestion at how to make it appear again thanks. tkg

Welcome to LQ.

AFAIK there is an option in gnome when you right click on the desktop to add a cdrom icon.

I think they show up when you mount a CD
