CD mounting

When I load a CD it appears to not mount automatically. and create the icon on the desktop

If I go into K3B it gathers the disc info and then puts the icon on the desktop help!

if an icon appears on your desktop after you insert your cd into your cdrom drive, it is indeed getting mounted automatically.

But the problem is the icon only appears if I use K3B to scan the disc. If i don't use k3b the disc is read but no icon automatically appears!

Surely there must be a way to get the icon to appear without having to use k3b each time!
