CD drive is not recognized
 
booted up and found no cd drive. when i try to open the door nothing happens, used a pin and opened door but cd is not found. also lost my wireless card, knetwork says wireless disabled? i didn't do it on purpose it just happened? suse 11.0 operating system, hp laptop

Boot into your BIOS to check these settings for CD/ROM and the wireless. If your optical drive is a SATA, then be sure it is not set to AHCI, as it is not all operating systems that have those drivers.

Have you checked your bios to see if any of the settings have changed. It can happen from time to time with any machine.
