Do it the other way around. Burn Linux files on the XP machine.

<edit>
I may have misunderstood your question. Which computer has the cd burner?
Are you trying to burn Linux files from the XP machine using Nero?

I don't think you can do that because the burning a disk operates on the device and not on the shared directory that the CDROM is mounted on.

If your linux CD drive is /dev/hdc, and it is mounted on /media/cdrom, when you open the cdrom, you are looking at the filesystem mounted on /media/cdrom. When you burn a CD at the Linux machine, using a program like k3b, you are writing to /dev/hdc. You can burn files on the Windows machine, by selecting them via a samba share but you burn them from the Linux machine.
