Cd access for RPM's
 

OK, I'm missing something again.
Went to install the source and headers, cd is mounted and shows the directories on an ls. But when I went to do the rpm I got cannot open file.
I know I'm missing something simple but I can't figure it out.
Anybody feel like helping the dumb newbie.

Are you running RPM as the root user, or running RPM after doing su -? You need root access to do an RPM install.

I was logged in using su.
Should it make a difference if I logged as root.
