cat /dev/console?


I use the commend cat /dev/console,I find I can'y use C-d or C-c to stop it.When I forced out,I found there's some problem with other programmes.How did this thing happen?Why?

Why do you want to do this command? It seems to put the computer in an infinite loop---ie writing to the console everything that appears on the console.

I stopped it by closing the terminal, reopening, and closing it AGAIN.
