cant view my Windows network from Mint
 
I am seeing the MSHOME icon which my windows network workgroup is on, when i double click on it and its asking me for a username, domain and password. I dont use a username or password to log into any of my computers and the domain im not sure what to enter into this field it populates with WORKGROUP

You need to have Samba installed and configured on Linux Mint. Have you done that? did you get any errors? You can get information by googling. Here is a web site specifically for Linux Mint, it's a couple of years old but the basics should help:

Im pretty sure Samba comes installed with Mint. I go to the Package Manager and says its installed, it only gives me the options to remove it.

It still needs to be configured for your particular network. Not sure what you have done so far. Did you check the site I suggested earlier? I've only configured Samba once and doubt if I'll be much help. I think using the search function here at LQ or googling would get you some help.
