Can't mount windows shares with smb4k

I've installed smb4k on SuSE 10 which doesn't seem to include it 4 some strange reason.
It finds the shared folders on two other Windows PC's but when I try to mount them I get this message:

An error occured while trying to mount the share
Details
smbmnt must be installed SUID root for direct user mounts
(1000,1000)

I assume its some kind of permission problem but I've never had it before it just mounts them nice and easy thats why I like the app.

How do I cure this problem

Newbie friendly answers please.

Thanks in advance

Steve
