Cant mount cdrom in mandrake 10!!

I have just recently recompiled my kernel (2.6.6), before cdrom was mounting and unmounting all good but now mandrake supermount does not work. Cdrom device icon is on screen but double clicking on it opens an empty folder in konquerer. Directory also empty in bash shell. Trying to mount it in shell (as root) results in,

mount -a

mount: fs type supermount not supported by kernel
because supermount is on. Turning supermount off and trying results in

mount -a
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb,
or too many mounted file systems
there cannot be too many filesystems can there? I have only,

mount
/dev/hdc1 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620)
/dev/hdc6 on /home type ext3 (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /mnt/windows type vfat (rw,umask=0,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)

fstab file,

mount
/dev/hdc1 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620)
/dev/hdc6 on /home type ext3 (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /mnt/windows type vfat (rw,umask=0,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)

any help would be appreciated.

I canīt have access to my cdrom

I canīt have access to my cdrom and cdrom2 (dvd burner): this is my fstab file:

/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
/dev/hda6 /home ext3 defaults 1 2
/dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom iso9660 umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom2 iso9660 umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-15,codepage=850,noauto,ro,exec 0 0
none /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=ext2:vfat,--,umask=0,iocharset=iso8859-15,sync,codepage=850 0 0
/dev/hda3 /mnt/windows ntfs umask=0,nls=iso8859-15,ro 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0

I tried this as root:

chmod o+r /dev/hdc
chmod o+r /dev/hdd

But, when I tried to mount , its says:

mount /dev/cdrom2
mount: can't find /dev/cdrom in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

mount /dev/cdrom2
mount: can't find /dev/cdrom2 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

Please Help!
