Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

hope this helped. I read somewhere that I needed A Driver For MY -802.11 Wireless b/g/n PCI-E Mini card. but dont Know where or how to install it. Never Had this problem before and I'm still very new to linux. Thinks for taking time from your day for me.
looks like you have the same wireless device I do, which I am also working on to get up and running. You have to go to http://www.ralinktech.com/en/04_supp...ort.php?sn=501 download the rt539x driver, exract it and compile the driver, so will need the software tools to compile with. Found a thread in the ubuntu forums but don't have it in front of me right now that tells how to install the driver, you should be able to find by googling. hope this helps some.
refering you to this thread here http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...y-wifi-912383/
