cant get wireless to even show up on my pavilion p6
 
everything worked fine on my laptop now i bought this 1 and love ubuntu but it just doesnt even show my wireless card can some 1 help:banghead:

hope this helped. I read somewhere that I needed A Driver For MY -802.11 Wireless b/g/n PCI-E Mini card. but dont Know where or how to install it. Never Had this problem before and I'm still very new to linux. Thinks for taking time from your day for me.

looks like you have the same wireless device I do, which I am also working on to get up and running. You have to go to http://www.ralinktech.com/en/04_supp...ort.php?sn=501 download the rt539x driver, exract it and compile the driver, so will need the software tools to compile with. Found a thread in the ubuntu forums but don't have it in front of me right now that tells how to install the driver, you should be able to find by googling. hope this helps some.
