You're posting in the wrong forum, Either Linux-General, Linux-Networking, Linux-newbie, or the Fedora specific subforum of the Linux-distribution section would be more appropriate. Wait for the moderators to move the thread rather than double posting, and welcome to LinuxQuestions.

What kind of modem are you using?

Also, I take it your using KPPP to connect?

Squall 04-10-2004 03:18 PM

AMMulan, I am not a moderator, but I think it would be best to wait until this thread is moved rather than to reply in an inappropriate forum. I can't force you, but it will probably happen anyway.

K this is my POV:

If I wait for this to be moved he might be waiting a couple of days - I answered his question because as far as I can see the thread will be moved anyway and this way he gets his answer sooner...

I have the thought that I like to help people as soon as I can, that way they don't have to sit and wait, they have the answer right there and then the Moderators can move the thread when they notice it :)

Thanks for your concern anyway Squall :) I'm sure you'd like to have your Q's answered quickly too, right?

If you got through x its pretty easy.

e.g. type:startx and its basically windows all over again. Once you have connected go back to the console and read what red hat has changed.
