cant boot off CD


Hey im new to Linux and downloaded Mandriva one to a disk but when I boot up it doesnt load off the disk.

When you download the iso image, you should first check the md5 sum which should be on the site and check it after download. Burn the iso as an image in what ever CD burner you use and burn at slow speed.

download the corresponding md5 file and run
md5sum -c filename.md5
