Cant boot, boot-able disc on ASUS Eee PC 701SD

I have a ASUS Eee PC 701SD with a Linux OS I have never come across but what I need to know is how to boot a boot-able CD disc. I have tried several times. The ASUS is picking up the external CD drive OK and I have tried a few boot able discs with no success. I have only seen two options in the Bios set-up Boot device Priority (On-board LAN Boot ROM Enabled and Boot Booster Disabled) I have tried enable and disabling. There must be a way to do it and would be great full for this information.

Cant boot, boot-able disc on ASUS Eee PC 701SD

I used to have a eeepc 704g, I used unetbootin to create a bootable flaah drive. it worked well, I used it to install Peppermint 3 last time I needed to.

Unfortunately I don't have experience with external cd drives and the eeepc.

Try spamming the ESC key when you boot it. When the boot selection menu pops up, select your CD drive.

The Esc key worked on my Eee PC 901, so it bight be the same. Then again, it might not.

Got the boot job sorted out with key tapping as instructed. No idea what pmbc01 is telling me. Thanks for the replies.
