Canon i560 printer problem
I'm very new to printing under linux and don't know what to do! Please help! I want to set up my Canon i560 printer (I'm running slackware 9.1). Every job that I try to run gets aborted. If I go to http://localhost:631/printers and tell it to print a test page, it'll say test page sent, but the job is aborted immediately. If I click "restart job", I get "Error:client-error-not-possible". What does that mean? Please can anybody help? Konqueror print://Manager says:

There is a Canon driver here. The only problem is that the site's in Japanese, but if you hover over the links, you get the idea. There has been some success in using these drivers, but I believe they are not perfect.
That's why I don't use Canon anymore... very ordinary drivers (especially for higher-end printers). Linux drivers for my HP PSC all-in-one are as good as if not better than the Windows ones. Baldrick |
