canon bjc 255sp printer


Hello , well this is a bit confusing ... well i have a old canon bjc 255sp printer ... but i tried it with all the possible drivers in suse 9.1 include raw printer ... but all not working ... but echo ** > /dev/lp0 is working ... how? Please guide me thank you

Hi,
maybe you should try the turboprint drivers (http://www.turboprint.de/).
Your printer is not listed in the supported printers, but the BJC 250 is.
Those drivers are much faster than the standard one, and easy to install.

Hmm , turboprint dont have english version?

You could also try reading here and also here. The second link tells you how to setup CUPS and the PPD file.
