cannot set up mobile broadband internet connection with huawei220 modem


I have ubuntu 8.10 on samsung NC10 netbook.
Cannot setup 02 mobile broadband using huawei220 modem.
tried network manager - doesnot work-says-cannot connect
found in Google he220r1 driver but don't know if it is an appropriate one
and how to install it and set up the connection

I don't want to sound rude or anything, so don't be offended. To the top right hand side of this page is the main menu, in it you'll find a link called "search", go there and put "huawei" in the keywords field and hit "search now".
