Cannot remove CD after making boot floppy with yast in SuSe 9.2

I have SuSe 9.2 When making a boot floppy in yast after it's done I cannot get the CD player to eject. I close yast and still can't. The only way to get the CD out is to reboot.I.ve tried to go to the CD icon in my computer and eject it from there but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure to unmount the drive -- you can't eject it while it's "in use" (ie mounted)

If you've got a CLI inclination, you can use the eject command, which will unmount the device for you and (if you CDROM supports it) eject the media. Just type:

Code:

eject /dev/cdrom (or wherever your cdrom's located)

and if you want to put the CDROM back in without even touching it, just type:

Code:

eject -t /dev/cdrom

Thank you very much. It works. I've been trying for a long time to get it to eject but never could. This is the first time I've used the terminal program. If it wasn't for this forum and people like you I would have gotten discouraged a long time ago. Again thank you
