cannot 'open' downloaded software on linux/xandros Asus eeepc 701
I downloaded 'Gnucash' and while it seems to be 'downloaded',
I click on the file folder 'gnucash 2.2.4 and get a list of
folders, etc. but no program??
Is there a makefile? I'm not experienced on the xandros distro, but you might have to compile it. If so, open a terminal, cd to the gnucash 2.2.4 directory, and run
Good luck with your eeePC! :)
cannot open gnucash...
Thanks for the help: Unfortunately, I cannot find 'application manager'
.... there is an applications tab, but searching thru these options doesn't get me to a place to load Gnucash 2.2.4 ....
I found Synaptic Package Manager and used 'search' to find gnucash 2.2.4 but could not go further.
I know that the program is available in the laptop because I stumble upon portions of the file but have no idea of the thread since it's hit and miss....
can you suggest a route to open this file?
appreciate your time and thoughts....
