cannot mount volume
 
install a second old ide hdd...
click on it and receive this msg...'cannot mount volume'
what shld i do?

Try to mount the partition using the terminal and see what happens. If there are any error messages, post them here.

had solve the problem...i install the ntfs-3g and able to mount it.

Your distro
what you are trying to mount
if we knew it was a ntfs partition we could have suggested installing ntfs-3g and the line(s) to add to /etc/fstab
to have it auto mount.
