I installed a new Pioneer 109 dvd then installed Mandrake 10.1 over Mandrake 9.2 with no problems. Everything seems to work OK except I cannot load any software from the disks. When I do try to install from the disk (through MCC) I get the message to insert the CDx disk into [/dev/hdd]. When I select the OK button after placing the disk in the drive nothing happens.
I suspect that it has something to do with the system asking to insert the disk into [/dev/hdd] but I cannot find out where to change this setting.
I have tried to change it though the MCC Media icon but then get a message that tells me that the update didn't work because the media may have been manually mounted.
Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated
