Being new to Linux, I do not have enough of a handle on the command system to be able to install a Lexmark Z25/35 printer driver. Everything I try does not work. I downloaded the driver from the Lexmark website and the installation commands are clearly stated yet when I put them into root--yes, I knew enough to go into root--they produce "command not found' or "no such file or directory." Like I stated, lack of experience is getting the best of me, and my intuition isn't kicking in.

maybe sort through the site www.linuxprinting.org and see if you can find any tips on there..... i know there is stuff there cause i have the same printer, and yet am i able to get it to work...out of all the people i have heard that have this printer, the most success i heard of is some people getting the printer to spit out blank paper, which as you know is not sufficient enough...
so to wrap this up, by reading some articles on that site i mentioned above, there are people that claim to have gotten it to work, but as of people i have seen on this site with this printer, along with many other higher models of lexmarks, i have never seen success yet, besides like i said the printer shooting blanks, so try and have some like with that site...
p.s. lexmarks linux support is pathetic ;-)

Yea, I get blank paper with the lxm3200 driver. I will search the site for more help. Please give me tips where to look.
