Cannot Install Fedora 9 on VMWare

Hi, I have just started learning linux and wanted to install it in vmware on my notebook. I have installed Linux Red Hat 9 and windows XP (32 bit) on it without any problems, however, I can't seem to install Fedora 9. I get an error that goes something like the software is for x86 - 64 but i686 processor found.

The Following are the notebook specs:
HP Pavillion DV4t
Core2duo T6400 (Doesn't have VT Technology)
4GB DDR2 800
320GB HD
X4500

Thanks for the Help

Kind Regards

You cannot install a 64-bit OS in VMware because your Core2 Duo T6400 CPU does not support Intel® Virtualization Technology (VT). See http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=40479

You can however install a 32-bit version of Fedora 9.

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

Which VMware? What is the host OS? Please provide complete error message.

Your original error message seems to point to a 64bit version install attempted.

@fpmurphy
The DVD says that it has both 32bit and 64bit, How Do I select the 32bit version?

@onebuck (thanks for the Welcome)
I am using:
VMware Workstation
Version 6.15 build-126130

Host O.S is Vista Home Premium 64bit

Error is
"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your cpu"
