Cannot find USB device mount point

Hey guys,

I am using Linux Mint Debian, and I have an Android phone with an SD card in it. When I plug in the phone to my Linux box then enable the 'USB connection', I am able to browse the contents of the SD card in my PC using the 'GUI'. However, when I try to find how it gets mounted, I couldn't find any relevant info. I tried to open fstab and mtab, but to no avail.

Can anyone please help me find where the USB device gets mounted? Thanks!

Strange, mtab contains a list of all mounted filesystems. What Android phone is this? Also, could you paste the contents of your mtab with the phone mounted and also the output of:

On linux systems /proc/mounts is probably more accurate then /etc/mtab, since there can be times when /etc/mtab doesn't get updated properly on a mount or umount.

you might be better off also just running a simple df -Th with the phone plugged in and connected.

linux mint, mount usb, usb
