@ asmahan, # 17 :

cp -a <file> <destination>
is a command, which will overwrite the current file.
( or is used to to copy a directory to <destination> ).
Please see 'man cp'.

You can as well use copy and paste to overwrite the
corrupt file.

# 16 : Some of the aodv modifications will only work
on an earlier version of ns2, e.g. ns-2.26.

Please provide some links to the sites showing the
modifications.

aodv/aodv.cc:1: error: stray ‘\357’ in program
aodv/aodv.cc:1: error: stray ‘\273’ in program
aodv/aodv.cc:1: error: stray ‘\277’ in program
aodv/aodv.cc:1388:2: warning: no newline at end of file
make: *** [aodv/aodv.o] Error 1

Please have a look at aodv.cc :
Line 2 to 28 is just a describing text,
not a part of the c++ program.

To have such a describing text, the text must be
"uncommented", in order not to disturb the program.

The symbols for an 'uncomment' in a c, c++ files are :
' /* ' before the text, and
' */ ' after the text. ( Without the quotes.)

Just like line 1 and line 29 in aodv.cc .
