cannot connect to my wireless what happened
just updated to ubuntu 11.10, cannot connect to my wireless, didn't have this problem with 11.04, what happened? and what do i do?

Check your network manager settings and make sure you selected the right network and put in the right passwords, or at least see if you can see any wireless networks.
Also, many laptops at least (maybe desktops, I'm not sure) have either a switch or key-combination to enable or disable the wireless card, check and make sure you didn't accidentally disable it. If that's not the case, open a terminal and type Code:
sudo iwconfig |
maybe ubuntu dropped support for your driver, try linux mint instead..
