I recently switched from Windows 7 Starter to Ubuntu 10.10 on my netbook, however, I cannot connect to the internet through my recently purchased D-Link Dir-615 it did work using Windows. In my Connections things appear right under IPv4 the method is Automatic DHCP, security is WPA & WPA2 Personal but keeps asking for password and won't connect. The SSID is the name of my network, the mode is Infrastructure, the MTU is Automatic, Under IPv6 Method is Ignored. Everything seems right but nothing connects. I could really use the help thank you. I have the Acer Aspire One Netbook

If you run the command 'ifconfig' for the adapter you are trying to connect with, do you have an IP address? Have you entered the correct WPA key?

Can you post the output from ifconfig and iwconfig ?Are you trying to use Network Manager or WICD?
