Unhappy Cannot come back from suspend

I am using Gusty on a Dell Latitude D400 and cannot resume after suspend. Screen goes black as it should, but will not wake up. Anyone have a solution for this?

Post Argh

I've got the same problem, about 1 time bad for 5 ones good. Do you follow the advices at the end of <http://community.ofset.org/index.php/Freeduc-cd17_how_to>? Energy management is a real pain on PC stations, only the one made by Apple work like a charm.

Just to be clear - are you saying that pressing power switch does nothing at all, or does it look as if it's trying to come back but you are left with a black screen?

The reason I ask is that I have had similar problems when my video driver settings were wrong in xorg.conf. You might want to try commenting out the line that loads dri and seeing if using display in unaccelerated mode helps. If it does then you might need to adjust driver settings.

Red face No, the problem is general

It happens as well in console mode, in LiLo, in NT 5...
