Cannot Change Time Zone - Fedora 19 LXDE

Hello everyone,

Im currently in a situation where there is no option in the GUI to change my time zone. I am currently running the LXDE version which is of course the "cut down" version.

I have tried to navigate the file system using LXterm but have been unable to find a specific file that deals with the time zones and system location while trying to use my LPIC study guide as reference but still no luck.

Any feedback would be much helpful,

Thank you
Marios

look at the commands tzconfig, hwclock, tzselect ...

time zone info will be in /etc/timezone

Use the procedures here
http://technology.mattrude.com/2009/...rom-the-shell/

Note the last two comments and check that /etc/localtime is a file rather than a link before using the main instructions.

Both procedures were spot on.

Thank you DavidMcCann & amani
