after in screen text typed "chroot /mnt/sysimage" but the error shown is cannot change root directory to /mnt/sysimage: no such file or directory

and i did: #cd root
#ls
no files or folders in root directory...

and i did also: #nano /var/log/boot.log
but it shown command not found

the chroot command will show on screen

there will be a screen that asks to point it to the installed hard disk
The one with the os
in most cases that is /dev/sda0 ( for only one hard disk)

two or more and not installed in the first spot then it might be sdb0,or sdb1 ,or ...

if you did everything correct and this is poping up you might be in VERY big trouble
there is on os to start
or
the partition table is messed up

Thanks for all feedback.........I tried every ways based on your answers but still same so I decided to make a fresh installation only!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear All,

after i made a fresh installation....i installed some packages such "dhcp-3.0.6-12.fc8.src.rpm", the error shown that
warning: user kojibuilder does not exist - using root
warning: group kojibuilder does not exist - using root
warning: user kojibuilder does not exist - using root
how to solve it???
does anyone cold help me???

Fedora 8 is UNSUPPORTED

the repos have been moved to the historical archives, and NEW security keys were issued half way through fedora 8 life

Please install a CURRENT version
Fedora 12 is current and fedora 13 alpha is out for testing.
