Cannot activate eth 0 on linux installed on Vmware...


I had installed linux on vmware .host machine XP
i had set bridged directly connect to physcial network on vmware,
when i use ifconfig.it shows only loopback address,it doesnt shows eth 0 addr.i had search many forums but didnt got solution.
Can any 1 help me?????
