Cannot access hard drives whie running Fedora on a Live USB

Hi,

I have a computer. It has a hard drive plus external hard drives. The operating system is WindowsXP.

I have created a Live USB drive running latest Fedora.

When I am running XP I can see and access files on the Live USB.

When I am running Linux I cannot see or access files on the various hard drives.

How can I access my hard drives while running Linux on my Live USB?

Thanks.

I don't know what's the case with fedora, but I assume you have NTFS formatted drives and don't have fuse (to mount filesystems in user space) and ntfs3g (NTFS driver) packages. Try taking care of this first.

Either you created user doesn't have the ability to mount drives or you didn't mount them.

Depending on the gui, they the file manager and see if any of the drives show on left.
