can we setup RH8 or MDK9.1 on a single partition?

can we setup RH8 or MDK9.1 on a single partition?

Example:
WINXP = /dev/hda1
MDK9.1 = /dev/hda2
RH8 = /devhda3

will this structure work?

Yes it will work. I myself prefer multiple partitions however, with sharing of certain data, programs, and user space between distributions.

........ you'd typically use a Swap partition aswell - its possible for both distributions to share the same one.
