Can someone recomend a magazine?
I am looking for a magazine for Linux for a newbie to Linux(i.e. - me). I would like one that has an archive I can search or review. I have been using or playing with computers for over 45 years (yeah - that does mean that I way over 21) so I know my way around computers and software. I have had some exposure to Unix years ago and I still have my Kernighan and Pike UNIX manual dated 1984. I am in the U.S. so something printed here would be nice. Thanks, Vince Radice

Hi -
Unfortunately, we've lost a lot of good magazines over the last few years :-( Two of the best Linux-oriented magazines are: Linux Journal http://www.linux-mag.com/ Linux Pro http://www.linuxpromagazine.com/ I subscribe to Linux Journal (have for years now), and heartily recommend it. I buy Linux Pro off the newstands, and recommend it also. They've got a great "trial offer", if you're interested: https://www.linuxpromagazine.com/Sub...ubscription-US There's also a contest here on LQ, with a free subscription to Linux Pro! http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-of-lq-775822/ 'Hope that helps .. I agree with knudfl, Linux format is the best for newbies, very easy to read, all mags archived, plenty of tutorials, best of all subscribe now and you'll get a tux beer mug
